Seoul Trip: Day 2, Noryangjin Fishmarket

After my morning at Gwangjang Market, I returned to Yim's Guesthouse to freshen up and charge my electronics.
Once refreshed and rejuvenated, I ventured out to see Noryangjin Fishmarket and the surrounding neighborhood. I got there a wee-bit late so it wasn't at peak hours but it was still definitely bustling
Head's up: This post is photo heavy!

Hair: May 29th, 2015 Blonde experiment

So, it's happened. I made a pretty drastic change and finally took the plunge and lightened my hair. It's the first time I've ever been this fair haired so it's quite a change of pace.

Seoul Trip: March 3rd, 2014

Hey guys!

It's about time I shared my epic journey to Korea, right? Seoul is a city bursting with top-notch design, beautiful fashions, old and new architectural wonders, and some seriously delicious grub. Korean food has long been a favorite of mine; if you've ever checked out my cooking blog you might have noticed this trend. Have you seen the new Avengers movie?! I got SO excited to see Seoul as a location in a major blockbuster film!

Head's up: image-heavy post ahead!!

Brief announcement

Guess what, guys!

I'm excited to announce that I've added my blog to Bloglovin!

I only just discovered the site and have already started following a wide array of blogs, which the site makes readily accessible. I can save my favorite articles for returning to later, too, which saves me from further cluttering my abundant reading list with half-read pages and thoughts to come back to later. I'm digging it and hopefully you will to!

Project: Spring Ice dyes

So, Antho and I recently tried out ice dyeing for the first time. We've been experimenting with tie-dying fabrics and creating various designs since last summer (which, if you're curious, you can find over on our Storenvy shop) but this was our first experiment with ice dye and I made sure to document the process.

And seriously, look at this gorgeous shirt Antho made! Isn't it fun?

Japan: 浦安の夏 2012 June 23-25th Urayasu Summer

lazy days

Summer in Japan is a bit different than what I'm acclimated to, to say the least. The cold, dry winters melt into a soggy spring which then slowly turns into a steamy summer with scattered storms. The four seasons make themselves proudly known.

Summers in Tokyo; humid, damp sweaty…but also lovely.

Japan: August 8th-9th 2012 Kasumigaseki hijinks

ゆかちゃん&I

Being the fan of DDTプロレス that she was, Yuka-chan was on top of all the events and goings on. She let me in on a free event going on in Kasumigaseki, just outside of Toranomon station. We hopped a couple of trains and made it in time for the event, which I actually got zero photos of…sorry, I was too busy enjoying the mayhem as under-dressed wrestlers darted around, ducking through the crowds and showing off.

I did, however, get lots of photos of our antics.

Japan: August 2nd & 3rd, 2012 DDT プロレス Dramatic Dream Team Prowrestling

Oh, hello. Care for a snack?

Let me preface with this; I know practically nothing about American pro-wrestling. All I gleaned as a kid was something about Hulkamania and that the Rock was cooking something, though what it was I would surely never smell (ahem, I'm an anosmiac- my sniffer is broken)... but like any red-blooded young lass given the opportunity to spend an evening with lady friends drinking and ogling a gaggle of beefy sweaty young men grappling with each other I was game!

Luckily for me, my friend Yuka is a big fan of DDT. I don't know about regular pro-wrestling, but these guys were an absolute blast…sometimes even literally (I'll explain later…)

Thoughts: Ten things I learned working in an adult store. (NSFW)

Ooh la la, just the words "adult industry" bring up imagery of scantily clad, bodacious babes frolicking about with super-endowed men, baby oil, and cheesy soundtracks, but is it nearly as glamorous as it seems?

     Well, kinda.
