Lombard Street, San Francisco

Lombard street is one very wibbly wobbly road, zigzagging it's way up a steep hill. It's a one way road, so if you hope to test your driving along it's curves be sure to approach from the right side!

Having just visited Coit tower, we walked to Lombard relatively quickly while still enjoying the sights along the way.

A bit of artistic nudity, not the last of it we would encounter on our trek.

Antho admiring some unfamiliar foliage. If you look at the road behind him, you can get an idea of how steep the hill leading up to Lombard is.

And at the top of the hill, just before the famed crooked street, we encountered this bit of artistic nudity! Twice in one hill, what are the odds?

The road itself is packed with fluffy blossoms and lush greenery, possibly to combat the stress drivers may face in the creeping jam. Large swarms of people crowd the streets, some standing in traffic lanes to snap the perfect photo or peer out thoughtfully.

And more of the artistic nudity. XD

I now have butts on my blog.

You're welcome, internet.

After taking in the views, we made our way upwards and onwards onto the crooked street. There are stairs (naturally) that run alongside the road, offering a straighter path up the hill.

Coit tower in the distance.

Pretty frontage someone had along the walkway.

Some of my favorite flowers~

These guys saw me photographing the street and pulled up alongside us…

And cheesed it up for us! Thanks guys! XD

Stopped to admire this little blossom.

Then this wonderful thing taking over the home! What a gorgeous plant!

View from near the top.

From here we caught a bus and headed towards the Castro district!
Post coming up soon.

Have you ever been to Lombard?
How did you like it? :)
Feel free to comment, I'd love to hear from you!
