Project: Early June tie-dye session

Antho and I are big into colorful projects.
Between our liquid light company, our ever-changing hair colors, my art, and our tie-dye projects and various stores (like Redbubble and Etsy) we keep things pretty vibrant on a regular basis.

Here's a recent batch of tie-dye we've made!

Soaked in soda ash & folded, ready for dye.

It kind of looks like some awkward beast with a tentacle coming out of it's stomach, like a necromorph from the Dead Space games or something…

We had an abundance of lampshades so we decided to give them some a personal touch.

We let everything soak overnight…

It was a lot of fun! I'm pleased with how they came out. Everytime we do a tie-dye session we learn new things and experiment with our use of color combinations and techniques so we never get bored! It's not nearly so hard as it might look if you ever fancy giving it a try. One of the best things about tie-dye is that it's a very forgiving art form.

What do you think?
Have you ever tie-dyed before?
Let me know your thoughts!
